FTDI-US210i USB to 1 port RS422 RS485 Isolated Adapter supports RS422 mode. It is point to point RS-422. It is link RS422 device from host port without any extra link. Normally we say point to point data like RS422 mode. For RS422 point to point mode it is full duplex function.
Other mode is 2 wire RS485, It would be most of devices mode. In the marketing it has many devices using 2 wire RS-485 mode.
One more mode, it is 4 wire RS485 also call RS422 Multi drop mode.
