4 port Serial RS232 PCIe Card Supports DB9 Pin 1 and 9 5V or 12V power select able Industrial Level
Diarts has been production 4 port RS232 PCIe Card over 15 years. The Serial card designs with Industrial Level spec. We use Maxlinear XR17V354 chipset with High Speed up to 921.6kbps rate. It supports all kinds of RS232 needs. The driver supports Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 7, Windows Server, Lunix, QNX, We always give update driver for customer needs. It also designs with Standard and Low Profile Bracket. Other big things is Powered I/O supports 5V or 12V Power select-able by Pin 1 or Pin 9. Giving full supports That can meet all Serial RS232 project needs.
Industrial Serial RS232 RS422 RS485 PCIe Card
We design products always to support industrial spec. It needs from chipset and all ports need to use with Industrial Level.
Working temperature
The Industrial specification is operating temperature needs to under – 0 c to 70 c. It is industrial spec. in the marketing almost of products do not support with Industrial operating temperature. We use parts supports -40 c to 85 c even up to 125 c.
Powered I/O
Serial 4 port RS232 PCIe Card comes with one more function. It is not standard but some of project needs the function power output with 5V or 12V select-able What application needs with Powered I/O – POS system. Bar-code scanner, Bar-code printer, Displayer, …. And some of Converter, Adapter Extender also use Pin 1 or 9 to support Converter power. That do not need to add external power adapter. We also have those items – RS232 to RS422/485 Converter, RS232 Extender Over CAT5 ….
RS232 Pin 1 5V / 12V / DCD select able
DB9 Pin 1 is DCD signal. But not all application use DCD. Therefore, we can use Pin 1 supports 5V or 12V or DCD select able. It also supports modem
Serial RS232 Pin 9 5V / 12V / RI select-able
DB9 Pin 9 is RI signal, now just few devices use RI signal. It is good to use Powered I/O pin – 5V or 12V or RI select-able. What device use RI – modem.
RS232 RS422 RS485 projection
Basic projection is 15KV ESD by Air and 8 KV ESD by contact projection. It is RS232 project we have support. It also has other projection such as Isolation, Surge, and ESD we just talk it.
Optical Isolation protection
Isolation, we call optical Isolation. The signal from the device into PC, it will change to light with signal. Those can protection PC from outside. It is very important to have this function to protect your Host. For Isolation protection it has some different level, we use 2.5KV or 3KV it is good for industrial level and 5KV Isolation is medical level to use.
4KV Surge, 600W Surge
Surge, it is also add function for Serial RS232 RS422 RS485 products. Most products Serial do not add this function. It is good to have. It is same as Isolation function. But add those function the cost will be higher. It has different levels 600W Surge or 4KV Surge. Both specs are we have now.
Air 15KV, Contact 8KV ESD protection
The ESD protection comes with chipset. It should have 15KV by Air or 8KV by contact protection. When hit by ESD over 15KV or 8KV the chipset will be gone. But if under 15KV or 8KV, it has 3 types will be happen.
1 – Nothing happen, and signal is good
2 – it has wave show up but PC is good
3 – it needs to re-start PC
Standard Bracket and Low Profile Bracket
We design 2 in 1 Serial Card supports both Standard and Low Profile Bracket. Why it has two type brackets. The PC case has few kinds. But for Standard and Low profile are most use with.
Standard Bracket
It is most designs with Standard Bracket. As we know Graphic Card, VGA, HDMI, USB 3.2 USB 4.0, Thunderbolt 4.0, ….. supports with Standard Bracket.
Low Profile Bracket
It is for desktop PC case. That is why it is small them standard PC case. When designs with Low Profile bracket, it needs to choice the connector. That is why not all items supports with Low Profile bracket.
PCIe slot supports all kind of interface
From ISA 8 bit , ISA 16 bit, PCI card and PCIe Card. PCIe has been in marketing over 10 years. It is also from PCIe Gen 1 2.5 GT/s to PCIe Gen 2 5 GT/s, PCIe Gen 3 8 GT/s, PCIe Gen 4 15 GT/s, it also has PCIe Gen 5 32 GT/s. and PCIe Gen 6 64 GT/s. But now is PCIe Gen 3 in marketing now. But it should be soon to be PCIe Gen4.
With PCIe spec, it also has ExpressCard, Mini PCIe, M.2 A E B M Key, M.3, EDSFF GEN-Z 1C , 2C, 4C, NF1, NEGSFF. Those are all PCIe interface connector spec.

PCIe is newest interface for addon card. It is from ISA 8bit, ISA 16bit, PCI, and PCIe. All interface supports PC computer to add different mode such as USB, VGA, HDMI, Sound Card, 1394, PS II, Serial RS232 RS422 RS485, …. It needs to have slot to add-on Card, that slot interface is ISA, PCI, and PCIe. The PCIe is newest interface
